Child Protection Interventions & Consultancy

At Therapeutic Approach, we recognise that intergenerational trauma, problematic alcohol or other drug use, domestic and family violence, and various parental concerns  can hinder caregivers’ ability to raise children in safe, secure, and nurturing environments.

Our mission is to support families and statutory agencies so that children can be cared for at home, remain connected with their families, and/or be reunited and stabilised with attachment figures who can provide protection, consistent and nurturing care.

We specialise in:

  • Interventions with Parental Agreement and Support Service Case: Preventing children from entering the Statutory System.
  • Family Reunifications: Facilitating the safe return of children to their homes.
  • Sustainability of Kin and Family-Based Placements: Ensuring a sense of belonging and permanence for children in alternative care settings.
